Georgia Reciprocity

Georgia licensees who hold a Low Voltage-Alarm, Low Voltage-Telecommunication, Low Voltage unrestricted, or Low Voltage-General license may ONLY apply for the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage (FA/LV) classification license in North Carolina through reciprocity.

Georgia licensees who hold an Unlimited electrical license may apply for any electrical license classification in North Carolina through reciprocity.

Pursuant to the provisions of the reciprocal agreement between the Board and the Georgia Board of Electrical Contractors, licensees of the Georgia board are eligible to apply for and obtain a North Carolina electrical contracting license, and North Carolina licensees are eligible to apply for and obtain a Georgia electrical contracting license as listed in the following table:
