West Virginia Reciprocity

West Virginia licensees must have held an Unlimited electrical license for at least 3 consecutive years to be eligible for North Carolina reciprocity.

Pursuant to the reciprocal agreement between the Board, the West Virginia State Fire Commission and the West Virginia Contractors Licensing Board, eligible West Virginia licensees may apply for and obtain an electrical contractors license in North Carolina and eligible North Carolina licensees may apply for and obtain an electrical contracting license in West Virginia as indicated below:
